Inspiration

Music is essential to my writing and, over the years, I've been compiling my own character playlists to inspire me through scenes and plotlines. My music taste varies and has grown from classic rock, to traditional folk, to dark Americana, to weird and unsettling. These are some of the tracks that have accompanied me through writers block and late night write-storming sessions. There's no track that stands out as a "Reacher" theme song, but I think each playlist creates a good character spectrum. I've listened to other book playlists and some tracks have blown me away (and one or two appear here), others have made me question the author's sanity. If you take anything away from this exercise, I hope it's one of those things... (LEF)
